What is CAZT?
CAZT is a secure, professional tool allowing casting directors, producers and directors to select the right talent for their entertainment projects. CAZT hosts your audition videos on our secure site and provides you and your colleagues with the tools to collaborate in choosing actors for your project. It’s like a private YouTube™ for your audition process.
How will CAZT make my job as a casting director / producer / director easier?
Using CAZT, you can organize, watch and share audition videos for your project with your colleagues in a secure, professional fashion. We aim to help you cut out the cost of burning and messengering endless rounds of DVDs so that you can focus on what you do best: finding the right talent for your production.
How will CAZT save casting directors money?
Using CAZT means the end of the costly, time-consuming process of burning audition videos onto DVD and messengering them around to all of the people involved in the audition process.
How much does CAZT cost?
Using CAZT is free for casting directors and their colleagues. Actors can elect to pay a small access fee to view their audition videos.
Who can view the audition videos? Will my audition videos be secure?
The person who uploads the audition videos to Cazt has complete control over who can view the audition videos and when they can view them. Actors are able to review their own videos but not anyone else’s. The CAZT system is protected by state-of-the-art SSL level encryption ensures that:
- The casting director and any collaborators he chooses to invite are the only users with access to all of the audition videos for any project
- Each actor is only able to watch his own audition video and not those of other actors
- The videos are provided as streams, rather than downloads, making copying the videos a difficult (though not impossible) technical challenge
Unfortunately, CAZT is unable to accept legal liability for ensuring that audition videos do not leak.
We are confident that our system has been designed with due care for the confidentiality of the materials uploaded to it by our users. Our belief is buttressed by the fact that hundreds of professional casting directors have chosen to use CAZT for their audition processes.
What will happen to my videos after the project is over?
If you desire, CAZT will serve as a permanent, secure archive for your casting process. Or, if you prefer, you can delete the project from the Cazt system so that the videos and associated comments are never viewable again.

How does CAZT make money?
Cazt charges actors a small monthly access fee to watch their audition videos and read private feedback from casting directos.
How do I invite my colleagues to watch audition videos?
When you first create your project on the CAZT site, you are invited to input e-mail addresses of your colleagues. CAZT then e-mails invitations to those addresses. Your colleagues will be able to see the audition videos for that project only, not your other projects.
Once a project has been created, you can always invite additional colleagues by logging in, selecting your project from the Dashboard, and clicking "Add a new member" below the "Project Group" heading on the left side of the page.
Will actors be able to watch the audition videos?

I've never heard of CAZT. What the heck is it!?
CAZT is a new, password-protected website for sharing audition videos. You spend a lot of time going to random locations all over Hollywood auditioning and getting filmed, but you never get to see the videos or get feedback on your performances. CAZT is changing that.
We let you (and only you!) review all of your videos from any project that uses CAZT. And, we give casting directors a simple way to give your their honest feedback about your auditions so that you can improve. We know that casting directors and actors share the same goals of helping actors develop their talent and land the right parts. CAZT's goal is to provide the tools to make this happen.
How do I join CAZT?
There are two ways to get started using CAZT. The easiest thing to do right now is to go to the homepage and register. Take a few minutes to upload some headshots, your resume and reel(s). This will help casting directors, who will have access to your info from the minute your audition video is posted on our system.
The other way to get started is to go to n audition that uses CAZT. We'll automatically send you an invitation email. Open the email, click on the link inside and follow the instructions.
I lost my invitation e-mail. What now?
Just go to the homepage and register using the same email address you gave at the audition. We'll automatically take you to your videos when you finish registering.
How much does CAZT cost?
Actors can create a profile on CAZT including headshots, demo reel and resume for free. Accessing the audition video and casting director comments requires upgrading to premium membership for $19.99 per month. SAG members get 20% off. And, if you decide you don't like the service, you can send us an email at feedback@cazt.com requesting a refund and we'll send you your first month's payment back, so long as it's within 30 days of your initial sign-up.
How can I pay for CAZT?
CAZT currently accepts VISA, Mastercard and e-Check payments from checking accounts.
How does CAZT protect my privacy?
CAZT is designed to protect your privacy. You are given complete control over how much, or how little, personal information you include on your customized profile. Our web servers are hosted in a highly secure location. Our website is protected by state-of-the-art SSL encryption. We handle all transactions using Authorize.net, a leading internet payment processor. We invite you to read our privacy policy to answer any additional questions.
Should I post my contact information on my CAZT profile?
Whether you post your contact information, and which information you post, is entirely up to you. Remember that any information which you decide to make public on your profile will be accessible to anyone on the internet. If you do decide to post your e-mail address or phone number, remember that people who contact you may not be who they say they are. Take common-sense precautions like meeting in a public place to keep yourself safe.
Will I be able to watch the audition videos?
Actors are able to watch their own audition videos on CAZT after joining and upgrading to premium membership.
